Where did October go?

Wow.  I can't believe we only have one more day of October.  It's been a busy but fun month.  Here are a few highlights.

1.  Road Trips.  I spent the night in at least 5 different cities.

(Bonus points to whoever knows what the Tumblebus is.)

2.  The Overall Company.  Best popsicles in town.

3.  More football games/ watching Auburn dominate.

4.  Hanging out with friends.

5.  Watching all 4 (vice)presidential debates.

6.  Voting.  (I already mailed in my ballot.)

7.  The new Taylor Swift CD.

A lot of people don't like her new CD.  And I get it - she's not really country anymore.  But I have a lot of respect for her - she still at least co-writes all of her songs, something most country stars DON'T do.  Not to mention, IT'S REALLY CATCHY.  And she has a song about being 22, which I really identify with.  (I don't actually identify with the content, just the age part.  We've grown up together!)

8.  Welcoming fall weather.  Here's to many more blankets, cups of coffee, fires, and fuzzy socks.

the month of football

Football season means road trips with friends and visits from family. Here's to thinking positively despite Auburn's record this year...

Wedding planning 101

If you haven't heard from me lately, it's probably because wedding planning is a bit consuming. There are so many great ideas out there and SO many decisions to make about the big day! Here's a few necessities for planning and finding inspiration (besides pinterest)…

  • Green Wedding Shoes
  • Wedding magazines (Real Simple Weddings, Southern Weddings, etc.)
  • Coffee. obviously.
  • Moleskine
  • Microsoft Excel. so. many. lists.
  • Day Planner
If I don't write down everything, I will probably forget.
Example 1: I lost my car.  Literally. I walked out of the apartment to drive to the post office and could not find my car. I panicked, of course, and walked back inside. Then I remembered that I had driven to campus yesterday morning. Apparently I completely forgot that I had driven and found another way to get home. The scary part is that I did not ever remember this until very late in the next day, and only when I was searching for my car.
My roommates think I'm crazy, and rightfully so.
This is just one example of what wedding planning does to a perfectly sane person. Okay, maybe I wasn't 100% sane to begin with. But still.

In other news, we saw the place where we are getting married!! I couldn't ask for a better venue or nicer people to work with. Here's a sneak peek (you might've seen this on instagram):
Eeeek!! So much excitement.
