inspired

Thanksgiving break is working on my research paper, enjoying the fall weather, taking walks around the yard, and reading my newest book. Sidenote: I am loving this story. Katie has such a big heart for Jesus and you can read more about her inspiring story on her blog.
Not pictured: making Oreo balls, enjoying Starbucks peppermint mochas, and watching Psych.
I hope everyone is having as good of a Thanksgiving break as I am!

Georgia off my mind

Well we took a trip to Athens this past weekend. This was my 7th SEC stadium and Jordan-Hare is definitely still my favorite.
Thank goodness for great people to road trip with. Favorite quote of the drive: "I'm as lost as last year's Easter egg"- Mosher
Pretty Fall colors in downtown Athens. We ate lunch at a cheap pizza place with lots of character. Pretty sure my slice of BBQ chicken pizza was bigger than my torso. D-to-the-licious.
Before the game (when we were happy)...

Kevin likes crashing pictures. Obviously.

I'm counting down the days until Thanksgiving break. Bring on the foooood.

Formally Late

AOII's fall formal was October 14th.  So I'm a little late on this post.

There really wasn't much to it.  Dress-up, pictures, dance.  I'm not much of dancer, so we didn't really stay a really long time.  I've decided that sorority formals aren't about dancing, they're about playing dress-up.

Here are a few pictures to document the night (they're all from Alex's camera):

we like to pretend Kevin remembered to open his eyes

needtobreathe

So this weekend, Alex and I made a quick road trip to Tuscaloosa for the most awesome game of the millennium needtobreathe concert (with the one and only Ben Rector opening).  The concert was awesome, but let me tell you I am getting old because 9 pm is TOO LATE to be starting a concert.  By the time it ended after midnight I was going into zombie mode where I'm not always fully alert.

Before the concert started, our group (about 13 or so) went to Mugshots to dinner.  This is the place where, as my brother so eloquently phrases it, you will get a hamburger hangover.  And we did.  While we were "enjoying" our hour-long wait to be seated, I portrayed the "annoying girl who won't stop making people take pictures" and got this, among others, as a result...

I left Tuscaloosa about noon on Saturday got quite a kick out of the traffic flow.  Mainly because I going in the direction that had NO traffic and the other direction WASN'T moving.  I felt sneaky.

And I had my first gingerbread latte of the season.  That paired with the beautiful weather (and a good friend in the passenger seat) made an awesome combo for a drive back to Auburn.

49 days 'till Christmas!!
